callendar sync with google callendar

as the title says. i'm terrified of loosing my calendar and contacts again, and i dont trust google and microsoft to be the sole platform for my stuff. so i want to have my calendar and contacts, preferably on my unraid server synced with my google account that way i have 2 copies and if i loose one i can backup from the other. (trusted microsoft and lost everything, never again)

 

oh and i'm not sure if next cloud has a solution but it dont work on my server for some reason so anything but that

 

thanks for any suggestions

 

p.s.

i have tried caldav with my email address and downloading it as a backup but cant get google to see the appointments on it.
