iPhone 15 pro as a WiFi 6e hotspot?

On iOS, the hotspot uses your cellular connection only - not any other signal.

With a jailbreak, this could be modified - but no jailbreak supports the 15 Pro, nor will any for many years.

Hi all,

So for the first time since I got my first smart phone I'm considering jumping ship to iPhone because there are several reasons lidar would be helpful for me.

Thing is I have a specific use case outside of that I'd need it to do, that I can currently do with my Galaxy s23, that I'm not overly confident the iPhone will handle.

Firstly, I know the 15 pro has 6E / 6ghz band support when connecting at a client, but does it also allow this with a hotspot? On the ROG phone 6 I had before, has 6E but would not allow 6ghz hotspots. Hopefully the 15 pro does, but there is a second prerequisite...

Can I use an ethernet dongle to feed internet into the iPhone, which the hotpot will in turn use? (Effectively making it a 6e mobile access point).

Cheers!
