$2,000 Gaming build w/monitor

Go to solution Solved by noahmatt1,

Looks pretty freakin solid to me

Budget (including currency): $2,000 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CoD Warzone, Battlefield

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Any suggest changes? I'm a team green / team blue fan myself but this build is for one of our gamer buddies on Discord and it fit his budget.

Decently optimized but you can do better

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XWKXFs

7600 + 7900xtx + 32gb 6000c30

7700 -> 7600 as you are cutting 130$ of cost whilst only losing 2 cores

Board is more i/o rich, has an extra 4 usb2 over the b650-s on the rear i/o (17 total usb a instead of 13 total on the b650-s), and imo looks more aesthetically pleasing whilst also being ever so slightly cheaper. If atx is desired look at the b650 livemixer

I think the cooler slightly outperforms the ag620 but i think this is within margin of error and practically useless on the 7600 due to thick ihs, its cheaper though

Good ram choice so kept it cause its literally the cheapest 6000c30 kit

Upgraded the ssd to a high end dram gen4, yea this is pointless as shit id just go for the 93$ jps600 really wont make a diff, cheapest dram gen3 is the mp34 so id reccomend this over the mp34

7900xtx and its one of the beefier 3 slot cards

Downsized to matx case but again personal preference, your case choice is pretty good and fits within budget so an extra 30$ is fine when theres nothing else to spend it on

1000w amp v2 with a 10 year warranty since it isnt that much more than the pure power 12m 850w

I am not a peripherals guy so ill just leave the monitor alone

Yes the windows license was tossed out in favor of the 7900xtx since you can buy that later and you can buy it for much cheaper off a cheapkeys site

For gaming alone is 7700 worth it? I assume 7600 would be just as good. CL28 in theory get better FPS in games. Always remember to buy Windows key from a reseller.

EDIT: I'd actually get a b650 livemixer (if you don't mind the colour scheme) instead of the b650m HDV (since it's only $10 more)

He's an older guy like myself so he's not a fan of RGB. CoD and BF tend to favor AMD cards so I figured he would be able to max out his settings on those games with the 7900 XT. I went with the Ryzen 7 just incase he ever gets into any games that favor more cores ... that and I figured the extra cores would be a plus for background task while gaming such as Discord.

Aaand you just put my build to complete shame =p

Yea ignore my build id just get this build but psu swapped for an amp v2 1000w due to the cost increase only being 16$ and you get more wattage and a 10 year warranty

Same goes for me even if im just a 16yo but since its argb you can just not connect the argb header or set the lighting to a single colour like white or maybe even black

I genuinely wonder if anyones even into the rainbow puke rubbish that gives (a)rgb its bad reputation even though (a)rgb is just lighting accents you can set to a single colour if you wish

Its am5 and its meant to be upgraded hence why i chose a 7600, the 7700 is simply overpriced when the 7900 is about double the price of the 7600 with double the cores and the 7800x3d games alot better due to the extra cache, and the 7900 still comes with the same cooler as the 7700 so you dont technically even need to buy a heatsink since the prism is already pretty beefy

The Be Quiet I have in that build comes with a ten year warranty and I was doing my best to keep the cost down. He was originally going to set a budget of $1500 but we talked him into stretching it out to $2,000 seeing how he needed a new monitor (new everything tbh) in a bad way.
