HDD and RAM issues

Go to solution Solved by YoungBlade,

In the manual, it shows that SATA ports 5 and 6 are disabled when an M.2 drive is installed. This is likely the reason your HDD isn't showing up. You can try moving it to a different SATA port.

For the RAM, it could be a dead slot, a dead memory stick, or a dead memory channel on the CPU's memory controller. You'd need to do more troubleshooting to figure out which that is. If more than one slot associated with the same channel can't recognize either stick, I would think that it's the CPU's memory controller.

Hi everyone, forst post for me,i just tryed to put more ssd and HDD in my systeme but one HDD isn't showing up, i tryed new sats cable and sats alim, nothing, i have an  MSI Tomahawk max II, i also have a problem with the RAM, but i think that the slot is dead so im on 8 GB ram now, when i was on 2X8 GB befor but now if i plug the second ram in the Slot 4, the computer wont start, i did update de BIOS in case of but nothing,

If anyone can help me on that i'll be really thanksfull.

BTW, sorry for my English, im from France and i think that my english is not that good.

Have a good day all

Hello compatriote
