Started worrying about my 4070Ti Asus Tuf OC hotspot temp.

Ran a Superposition bench, and plotted the GPU temp, hotspot temp and the delta between them.

Does this look normal? Thanks!

In terms of delta, this is fine, a little hot overall but nothing too worrying, you could set up fan curves or make fan curves slightly more aggressive is this is a worry or bother

Gotta note that this is a worst case (benchmark/stress test) scenario. Under gaming scenarios (Cyberpunk with RT), the overall temps are 5 degrees lower, deltas the same.

Yeah, again, no issue at all, and a good delta too, have you got a fan curve already set up or just running stock?

This looks absolutely fine to me , Certainly nothing to worry about.

Years ago the hotspot temp was hidden and so you would only see the gpu edge temp but nowadays you get access to the hotspot temps which causes more people to panic but some of the team red guys have been running hotspots past 100c for years without issue , We have it in our heads that the boiling point of water is some arbitrary number that will cook silicon but its just not true.

cant you just use gpuz please?  this is so confusing....

generally 20c hotspot over gpu temp is absolutely normal.

if its more = 🚮

Was fairly easy to read for me , I don't see the problem.

This was GPU-Z output -> Excel.

Thought that would be easier than giving the full timeseries, my apologies.

Oh and yes, this is full stock fan curve.

Why you apologizing to me I said it was easy to read....
