i bought a pc and the guy i bought it from said that he got banned a few years ago on Fortnite, but when i loaded in on fortnite i could play and there was no messages that said that i was banned and i can play both creative and battle royale. so the question is how do i know if im banned or not

You are able to play online = you are not banned.

His account was banned not the hardware in the PC.

It's always a good idea to do your own clean Windows install from scratch on used computers. There's no telling why he was banned, but it could be because he ran cheat software that could still be lurking on the machine somewhere.

If you have done complete reinstall with full format of drives, then you don't have anything but what you install yourself.
