I have a Minecraft that I play but runs on a server that my other PC hosts. Today I wanted to play locally, so I copied the world into my current PC, but it seems my player data doesn't load correctly. My inventory is gone and I spawn at x 0 and z 0. I took a look in the world files but everything seemed fine and I also recopied the world but it still didn't work. I then hosted the world on the server again and it seems to work. Am I missing a file or something to copy?

PLEASE MARK COMMENTS AS SOLUTION IF SATISFIED!!

I've had that happen.

I just put all belongings in a chest and run back.

Well that's not a real fix. I copied the whole world so what am I missing?

Agreed. Plus losing spawn and XP levels can be a real annoyance.

I'm not sure if this will solve it for you, but I saw this:
