Just my opinion, but the titan should also be better than every single 780 that exists and the titan z had better be better than a 790 or else they should call it a Quadro and make it compatible with Quadro drivers and quit calling it a GeForce. Geforce means gaming, Quadro means professional. Imagine Intel coming out with an 8 core CPU that requires ECC but calling it an i7. No, it would be a Xeon!
