So basically I’m really confused. I am making my first PC build and am using the Zalman P30 case, which isn’t on Pcpartpicker. The fans in that case need 3pin 5volt connectors on the motherboard and I need to find a motherboard that has everything that works with the P30’s front IO (Headphone/Microphone (together in one hole), power, usb 3.0, usb C, and all while being LGA1700. Other than that I need DDR4, at least 1 M.2 slot for an SSD. I don’t mind having to get a dongle to make it compatible to the front IO, but please send me all of the links or all of the information. I also don’t want it to be too expensive, but I’ll weigh my options.

Find me a good motherboard please! Thanks.

Nearly all (if not all) desktop fans use 12V for 100% function, not 5V. This can't be true (or prove it)

3 pins fans are DC fans, which all motherboards can handle.

I use the MSI Mortar B760M Wifi DDR4 for example. Which is a mATX board, you might prefer an ATX version for your ATX case.

But if I were you I'd go AM5, did you consider it ?

Here is the P30 manual. It says in the section of fans that they use 3pin and 3pin 5v together. They are ARGB, and i guess i shouldve included a link to these files before, sorry.55735636f7ffd035a1f4875b10f81cb61109379c215604d5284a0e9c71c1a23e_optim.pdf

You could do your proving more convenient, just show the page with the info, not the whole file.

The 5V refers to the RGB connection.

Yeah I know it’s the RGB connection, but don’t you need a specific RGB header? (3pin 5v) also can you recommend a motherboard that fits me needs now that you and I both have this information? Thanks

This board has two ARGB headers.

any 3-pin ARGB header should work, which maniacally every board has by now

No, I really don’t want to spend a lot, and AMD isn’t really an option at my low budget. I don’t have an exact budget, but it’s around 800 dollars, maybe less. Also, thank you so much for the mobo recommendation.

Is DC12V the same as the 4pin 12v connection on the mobo?

DC uses 3 pins but they are compatible. You can connect those 3 pin connectors to the 4 pin headers.

Just check in the Bios if they are set to DC (or Auto) instead of PWM.

And I recommend the app Fan Control to control them greatly in windows

Edit : Ohh ! your case doesn't support ATX boards

This might be a good motherboard for you (a bit expensive but it has Wifi 😛) :

there are many others to chose from :
