What do I do?

its an intel i3 4160, it has 10gb of ram like the 2nd slot accept ram but not more +2gb

So it's not a CPU pin that's broken but a pin in the motherboard socket.

Either way, the answer remains the same. Live with it until you can get new parts.

Live with the reduced RAM capacity until you can replace the CPU.

Replacing broken CPU pins is technically possible (there's an LTT video from several years ago where they did this with a chip they put in Luke's PC, as I recall) but is beyond the skill and resources of 99.9% of people.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

what do I do if my computer has 3 broken cpu pins, like it turns on yeah but now isn't accepting ram on my 2nd ddr3 slot

You can:

  1. Accept it and move on
  2. For LGA
    1. Replace the socket
    2. Replace the motherboard
  3. For PGA:
    1. Replace the CPU at your expense

Welcome to the forums!
I'd RMA the motherboard. If you got it used, I'd see about a refund. If you broke them yourself, I'd replace the mobo. If none of those are feasible options, and I just now see that you are using DDR3 so it's probably an ancient system so I'd say either use the other pair of ram slots, or just live with the lagginess of single channel ram

hey thanks, yeah sadly I see that can't do that much for this pc, its an ancient system that just recently got a ram upgrade, I was curious to see if there was a way to fix it but yeah seems that only way is replace the motherboard or replacing the pins (no), still thanks for the help everyone!

Honestly, it could still be useful as a little server. Sure, it's a power hog, but there are a TON of things you can do with a little server. Treat it like a really powerful raspberryPi. You can pihole and steamcache and NAS and VPN and just vibe with it

As far as making it a useful daily driver? Well, you're gonna hate it.
