Hello LTT forums. I’ve been having this problem for a long while now. All the latest drivers are installed, and I have no untrusted hardware installed.

For the past months, my PC keeps sometimes blue screening and some times it just black screens. I’m on a fresh install of Windows 10 and my pc has worked fine for about a week after windows install. It’s a high-mid tier pc with older parts, but wasn’t had any major problems since recently. It randomly black/blue screens in the middle of whatever I’m doing. Here’s the parts:https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jr7vN6

I recently replaced the power supply with what is on the list now. Any help would be appreciated as I also use this pc for school.

Yes, the bios are up to date.

sometimes I get error codes (when it blue screens) but most times it just turns black.

I also forgot to install the iCue software for my cpu cooler, so I’ll see if that was the problem.

it was the problem I believe. My cpu temps were very high.

Do you know what version of BIOS you're on? It's one of the disclaimers on your parts list. Did you update the BIOS when you built the PC?

Also, do you ever get any error codes when it crashes? Or just a black screen?

It still crashes, I think it may be a motherboard issue. This board doesn’t have easy access of CMOS battery if that is important

edit: I was wrong. The cpu is getting very hot. My pump is running at 3100 rpm, but I don’t know what could be happening

Sorry for the late reply. Silly question, but you did remember to apply thermal paste when you built this thing, right? CPU temps should NOT be spiking like that with an adequate cooler.
