ROG Ally laptop?

Do you think that there is a way you could disassemble the ROG Ally or even the steam deck and 3d print or even use an old harvested laptop, and make a dock of sorts? Since it uses USB c I was just wondering if anyone has ever thought of this..

Yes but why? Just get a laptop for that price instead of destroying the handheld.

right but like....why not? I have a warranty on it that includes taking it apart, and the system runs amazing for everything I want. Do you know how I would start this process?

Why not take apart an old dock or a USB-C keyboard addon for some tablet? Keep the Ally intact.

Just plug it in via USB on a Nexdock.
