Mount SSD

Hello!

 

Today I've ordered an ssd to come for tommorw. However I want to install it from the front of my case. When I look I have no clue on how to Mount it onto the plate. Would I have to borrow a mounting bit off of the back of the case 'near the psu at the back' and put it on there? I'll show you what I mean. Also the case is a CiT Raider.

Most Cases come with a mounting bracket for a drive.  If you did not build this computer then I suspect that the person who did.... kept the parts.  If you have the box or any stuff that came with the computer you may find the bracket there.  You may need to contact the case manufacturer for the correct bracket.  The case manual would indeed tell you.

 

However since there are no moving parts to an SSD, you could simply take some long twisty ties or pipe cleaners and hold down your SSD by poking through the holes.

Did this chassis come with a manual? What kind of hardware was included? It's hard to tell from the images here and online, but does the SSD fit within the area marked "SSD" or over it? Are the holes covered by the SSD's mounting holes? 

 

It seems a little odd to have the area recessed unless the drive is meant to slot into that area, which would imply that there should be some kind of mounting bracket(perhaps two) that go there....In fact, the drive itself might mount to the bracket, slot into the area, and then a combination of screws and nuts are used to mount it to the chassis.
