Hi there,

I have finished building my PC and when I try to start it it crashes and shuts off.

So the parts work as I haven't touched any components other than the cooling and plastic parts, and I had the anti static bracelet.

So what happens is, I press the power button, the fans spin up, then I see a black screen with a "line" like this __.

The CPU cooler fans also run at max speed, idk if that's normal at boot.

Then 1s later it does a sound "click" and the PC is off.

AMD Ryzen 7950x3d
AsRock A620I Lightning Wifi

AMD RX 7800XT

2x DDR5 16GB RAM
Seasonic TX700 Fanless Titanium

The blinking _ usually means it is posting and checking for boot media, the fans running at 100% and it restarting that quickly is usually not normal and indicative of either a overheating issue or the cooler not being properly plugged in. What CPU cooler was used?

Also the system will need to do memory training on it's first boot so it will restart multiple times before posting and displaying on the screen. So make sure you are waiting longer than a few seconds before trying to power it off with the switch or button.

I have a Noctua NH U12A. So the thing is the PC goes off and doesn't seem to start up again and it doesn't even get to the screen that shows the "press F10 for boot menu" etc.

The type of cooler doesn't matter as much as if it's installed properly. If it's not mounted or plugged in properly or the plastic film was not removed from the cooling block it could be overheating or registering as not detected(if it's not plugged into the right header). Is this your first build? Or do you have a decent amount of experience with builds/troubleshooting? This could also be caused by a lose or improperly plugged in power cable.
