Should I Upgrade?

I recently got a 4060ti 8gb but I didn't do as much research as I should have before buying it and have seen a lot of overall negativity about it so I was wondering if while I can still get most of my money back for the 4060ti if I should upgrade to a 4070 or a rx 7800xt or a used 3080, etc. OR if the 4060ti isn't actually that bad

So here's my simple one-question response to that:

Does your current card do what you want it to do?

  • If yes, don't upgrade. There will be a better deal available when it's time.
  • If no, upgrade. It's time.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
