so im planning on upgrading from the rx6800 to a 7800xt, is it worth it? id like real world performance reviews from people who made this upgrade themselves, i was also concerned that i overclocked my gpu a good bit and wondering if the jump in perf would be even less.

The 7800XT has the next generation of hardware of a 6800 and it performs similarly to a 6800XT.

Going from a 6800 to a 7800XT is spending a lot of money for quite a small improvement.

What's the rest of your system? Do you play on 1440p?

10fps difference on average so 150fps vs 160fps, it's not worth it

There's a large probability the 5600 is bottlenecking the 6800 in some cases.

I would recommend the CPU as the part to upgrade next. You can do a Ryzen 5800X3D (or, if rumors are true, a 5700X3D next month) or you can do a whole platform upgrade (Ryzen 7000, 32GB ddr5, B650 board).

How's your GPU usage behaving in the games you play?

My 5900X was a slight bottleneck for my 6950XT on 1440p, and my friend's 5700X was for his 7900XT.

To be honest it’s pretty good on 1440p, my gpu is always 99% usage, cpu usage depends on the game, like cyberpunk I was 99% on both cpu and gpu. But the performance is really good , the only reason to upgrade for me is really that the 7800xt seems to cross the small border of 60fps in more of the newer titles. But yes I was thinking to do an entire am5 upgrade next, the 5800X3D price isn’t far off the 7800X3D. And I love the 6950xt!!! I wanted that card but it’s hard to get where I’m at. I ordered the 7800xt 😭

To get a substantial upgrade you would need to push for a 7900XT.
