Power a 5G CPE router in the car

Buck converter is sometimes can messing up your devices, the best thing you can do to ensure stable and clean 12V DC power is either hooking it up to a PD powerbank with DIY/premade PD 12V trigger board, or like me in the past, I just buy good car charger with 12V PD function and hook up to my DIY trigger board to request 12V signal to the charger, and adapt it to standard barrell jack (in this case I powering a DIY OpenWRT router with M.2 B key 4G module installed).

LTT reference video if you want to learn how it works (in entertaining way):

Here some refrence picture if you need it:

Car charger - make sure it can atleast deliver 12V at 2.5A (PD/PPS specs):

USB-C trigger board (or you can buy it premade, just make sure its an active cable AKA contain a trigger board circuitery inside it instead of just buck converter):image.thumb.jpeg.a3e67ea675e81d8d82f69797c489e413.jpeg

I got a 5G CPE router and I am planning to bring it with me during my trips. I am unable to remove the SIM Card because my ISP sealed it (warranty void sticker).

The router needs 12V DC 2A power. I have found 12v lighter plug to barrel connector, but I think its directly wired to the car's cigarette lighter outlet which can output up to 14v, which I think might damage the router. Are there lighter / cigarette plug type power bricks for powering a router? I am also planning to use a DC to DC converter (voltage regulator), is this a good idea?
