Yes it will still max most things on a single 1080p display and give you entry level 4k gaming. Once watch dogs and other similar "next gen" titles launch we will have a rough idea of the long term survivability of such a gpu seeing as how watch dogs will be the first game to launch with the recommended requirements that it has

Watch_Dogs' specs were exaggerated, the 670 will run Watch_Dogs on ultra.

I know ive seen that myself but he also didnt say what resolution hes playing at and 670 for ultra is probably at 1080p..

Considering "ultra" nowadays means 1080p, all settings cranked up. I doubt that he's talking about 720p or 900p, considering the development team is trying to make the game look its best.

i meant more along the lines of op could be wanting to play above 1080p since he didnt really mention a target resolution But yes i agree that 1080p is the standard when it comes to ultra. I stray out of standard though so seeing the requirements never means much to me these days lol

yeah its fantastic :) although im also running nvidia surround for games that support it so it still chews up the power pretty quick with all the settings turned up

You can load your Physx on your CPU and that could sort of help you out a bit. Also you can run your cards on maximum performance as opposed to adaptive.

I do run them in maximum performance though i rarely if ever plays games with actual physx in them so im not concerned with that all to much, batman arkham origins did quite nicely running off the cards. Not much can be done running in a massive resolution like 5760x1080 though lol

Oh, three monitors? Ouch, the performance is a hit there. I'm running 1440p, so the performance is just so smooth.

That is a kick ass setup! How much did it all cost you? If you don't mind me asking.

i dont honestly remember, some of it was christmas and birthday presents. This build was actually started on boxing day and my birthday is in september. my dad knew what i was planning so he bought me the surround sound system and soundcard, i originally had 2 4gb evga 770 classifieds in here but managed to blow a capacitor on one of them so my local store just gave me a refund and i bought one lightning and the 3 monitors with what was left over. Realized the lightning hit end of life a few weeks later ordered the last one off ncix then did water cooling a few weeks later, out of what i actually spent with present excluded probably close to $4000 plus or minus a bit. Being that im 20 living at home going to university and maintaining a job my parents are pretty decent to me since i worked my ass off to actually have a build like this.
