so out of the amd intel and my amd which one is the best

The Intel build will net you a few more frames per second.

Budget (including currency): 1000-1500 GBP

Country: England

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: fivem, minecraft, jwe2, misc

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): gor parts list from pc parkpicker based off the deal with the amd ryzen 7, i have a kooru 27 inch curved gaming monitor from amazon already, i want 60-120fps and around 120htz and upgrading from a ps5 but still keeping it.
could also do with a mechanical keyboard as i got a steelseries but i think its a membrane so a fairly cheap option would be nice but not part of the budget
not bothered about it being over the top

and ill be buying the cpu this month definitely and possibly a few other parts. The rest will be brought over the beginning of the new year

well do i need a better motherboard or will that do?

mATX is a little smaller than ATX and has accordingly less peripherals options.

I own a mATX board in a mATX case and I'm very fine.

But if you want the ATX case than you might want to consider an ATX board to fill that case.

the M in B550M stands for micro

This for example (remember, your mATX board is fine as well) :

Another alternative to have a look at. This board comes with Gigabyte Q-Flash Plus so no need to worry about the bios. The 120mm fan goes inside the back of that case for a rear exhaust fan.

If I understood correctly, you need that round connector for mouse and keyboard.

You could go with that, but it doesn't make sense to me,

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Ytdrxr/asrock-b550-phantom-gaming-4ac-atx-am4-motherboard-b550-phantom-gaming-4ac

not many ATX boards with that connector (and Wifi), the first interesting one I could find is already expensive

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/MfZ9TW/msi-mag-b550-tomahawk-max-wifi-atx-am4-motherboard-mag-b550-tomahawk-max-wifi

then you might rather keep your first choice, or one of those microATX alternatives

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/48cG3C/asus-prime-b550m-a-ac-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-prime-b550m-a-ac

(I don't know which one is the best, notice the bios flashback button on the first 4)

Oh ! I just found those, I didn't think of x570 :
