GPU no display

Go to solution Solved by AAVVIronAlex,

Are you sure that it does not just boot straight into Windows with the discrete Graphics cards? My brother's system had the same issue and for some reason the GPU was not outputting until it reached the OS.

The RAM slot thing could be it clearing the CMOS or something on those lines, you should check if you have prioritise iGPU or something like that on.

If you have two sticks of ram try using one, or try clocking it at a lower speed (doubt it will make a difference).

After buying a new CPU/motherboard/RAM and installing it, it boots with no problems (new Windows install, drivers updated).

After one reboot, it showed no display (GPU not detected in the BIOS too), but onboard graphics work.

So, I RMA'd the motherboard and got a new one.

I encountered the same issue with the new motherboard again.

The weird thing is that after I switch the RAM slot, it works again (reseating doesn't work).

It's kind of annoying to have to switch the slot every time I reboot.

Is this a faulty RAM issue, even though it works fine with onboard graphics?

Rig:

B650E Taichi lite

Ryzen 7 7800X3D

4080

Corsair vengeance DDR5-6000

Things ive done:

- drivers updated

- Memtest pass

- new windows install

- new motherboard

- updated bios

Actually it was a metal piece for cable management of my Lian Li case . Even though the GPU clicked in it wasn't fully in because it couldn't go down enough. I feel so stupid now 😔
