Hello,

I want to upgrade my pc but I only want to change my cpu and gpu. I know that my motherboard only accepts gen 6 and 7 intel cpu. I will buy a new motherboard because i dont want to risk buying some old cpu form 2017 sh. Same story with the gpu, I dont have trust in the sh market because almost all the offers I see have in description ,,used for mining,, . I dont need top notch performance in today games, low to medium setting in today games for 2560x 1440 resolutin is fine for me. I wish to buy the gpu first and after that to change the motherboard and cpu .

Budget (including currency): 500-550 euro

Country: Romania

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: lol, dota, warhammer darktide, rainbow six siege, the finals, etc

Other details My builld: I5 6400, Asus gtx 960 4gb, Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB DDR4 3000MHz CL15 Dual Channel Kit,H170M- plus, 2 ssd, 1 hdd,Seasonic S12III-550, 80+ Bronze, 550W. I have 2 monitors, the main one has 2560x1440 resolution with 144hz, amd free sync premium and the other is some old gaming monitor from asus since 2015. I want to change just the cpu, gpu and motherboard if it is possible.

 Thank you !

Even though market is full of GPUs used for mining, i'd strongly recommend going  second handed, u are going to be able to fit a lot more. Either case i'd start with an i5-12400F or a Ryzen 5 5600X. For mobo, the ASRock B660M Pro RS is pretty good for the i5 and either the Asus PRIME B550M-K or the MSI B550M PRO-VDH (better mobo but higher price). And finally for gpu ideally i'd go with a 4060ti. The problem is that unless you decide for sh it'll be over the budget. For lowering price u can go with a 6750Xt which will perform similary but at the cost of being one generation older. If u can expand ur budget (selling ur old components for example), i'd recommend to upgrade the cpu, i don't know how cpu intensive are your games but if they are eithe the 5600x or the 12400 are gonna struggle, also u may want to consider upgrading your power supply specially if going with the 6700xt. Finally allways remeber to check for clearance issues with gpu and case.

I'm sorry if i made any spelling mistakes, i'm not an English speaker.

Ryzen 7 5700G @ 4.2GHz All Core. Aorus Elite V2. 2x8Gb 3600MHz CL17. Nfortec Aegir X. Nfortec Nervia.

Hello, thank you for the answer. Maybe sh gpu but from 3000 series because the cheapest sh 4060 is like 400-425 euro. 6700xt is somthing like 370 euro, same with rtx 3060. Do you think is ok?

Yes, the 3060 or the 6700xt will be enough for ur loads, u could expect to obtain +100 fps, at least in LOL and in the finals... If u can choose 6700xt should be a little bit better (at least in theory). Also these 2 graphic cards will be more equilibrated with either cpu.

Don't forget to mark the solution as solution!
