Hey Everyone,

I’m building my first PC and need some help.

While installing the fans for my cpu cooler I noticed there’s some issues with RAM clearance.

Can I install it as shown here?

Can I opt for 1 fan instead?

is there another option for that fan instead?

thanks.

If it fits in your case, then yeah its fine. You can also just use 1 fan depending on the CPU you have in that slot. Maybe even put the fan on the other side if you have the clearance.

It looks like he is going to have the same clearance issue on the other side due to the msi shroud heatsink thing. Personally I would get a noctua ippc fan and replace both fans with one ippc

It's ok

Run it like this, if the fans aren't good enough/too loud replace them with NF A12x25, or BQ SW4

I won't use Noctuas IPPC these go to 3000rpm with an insane noise level (I have one, retired)

I'd do this as a last resort. It really probably won't be necessary as 1 fan should be fine unless its a pretty beefy cpu.

You can snug a Phanteks T30 fan in the middle. It will push in kinda hard. Best 120mm fan for noise/performance. One in the middle will perform as well as 2x in push pull like in your pic.

But to answer your question - if it fits in the case, run it like that.
