Help for my friend

Go to solution Solved by Kostas0pr01,

Hello Joshua,

I just saw the build and I noticed that theres no GPU (graphics card) in your list and the cpu doesnt have integrated graphics.

Also I noticed that theres only one 16gb stick and thats bad for performance, i would recommend picking two 8gb sticks.

Sorry for my bad english.

Hi guys I have a friend  who would  like to build a pc specifically  with 1 game in mind and asked me my opinion  even though  I had told him I'm not a great person  to sk as I'm new to the pc building  world only building mine 6 months ago

please  let me know how this looks and if he should  swap anything  out for better performance

he does like racing games so although  he said he wont use this machine  for that i assume he will

IMPORTANT: HE SPECIFICALLY  WANTS A MICRO BUILD

He also has not selected  a graphics card so help on this would  be great

Budget (including currency): £300-500

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: this pc will be used to play project zomboid

But more importantly, at this budget you should buy used components. Get a used workstation to start and then use the remainder of the budget to add a GPU, SSD and enough RAM. It will perform way better than buying new.

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.
