Cases are stamped steel, not precision parts. Just pinch them together with your fingers to get the allignment better. As for the screw, they generally come in a bag inside the case. If not, just salvage a screw from somewhere else.

This is fully correct. The only thing I would add, is if you don't have your motherboard aligned properly sometimes it can cause this. I like to back my mobo screws off and see if the GPU fits better when this happens. It doesn't always help but it is worth a shot. Of course once you get the mobo into a position that the GPU fits well, you want to screw them back in fully.
