I must have missed that. I assume it was during WAN? Can you link to clip?

In past, Linus has stated the series to be cancelled indefinitely. Reasons being bad availability of used parts and recognition of the staff who are doing it.

So if it was announced to be planned/thought, it must mean mining crash has made availability better in their area. And that fans would be comfortable having the lesser known hosts doing the buying phase at least.

Just heard a hint of "Scrapyard wars 9" on the WAN show this evening, no release date though ☹️

They may have just started filming. It could honestly be six months to a year until we get to see it. I say that only because I recall Linus talking about how long it takes to shoot and edit Scrapyard Wars. Don't take what I say as fact, it's just cobbled together bits from my memory lol.

Judging from the WAN Show, it sounds like it was already shot. Unfortunately tons of footage requires a lot of editing. It'll probably be another month until it's out. Or maybe they'll slowly release episodes.
