GPU for FIFA 24

Go to solution Solved by whispous,

He sounds like a lucky lad to have a decent spec already!

The 1050ti from nVidia is listed as the minimum spec, and those run under £150 from places like ebuyer.com - if the budget were to be stretched to be a little higher, you could pick up a 3050 for £220 instead which would last longer for similar taste in games.

EDIT: the 3050 likely requires a free 8 pin PCIe power connector, just to check.

Budget (including currency): £100 to £150

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Not too sure if this is the right section for this query.

my son, who is only eight years old has currently a PC with AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, RAM 16.0 GB, 1tb ssd m2 and we are looking to get him a GPU to play FC 24, he’s running at 1080 P and I just wondered what people would recommend to get without going to overboard we are looking to spend somewhere in the region of £100 to £150.

We would prefer to buy new as well just for the warranty.

any help would be very much appreciated and please let me know if this is the wrong area to post this in.

thank you

David

Thank you, just to confirm you would recommend a GeForce RTX 3050 and the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB if we want to keep on budget?

Just wanted to make sure with the full names, so I don’t get confused.

Thank you

Yes. The GTX 1050 Ti 4GB is listed on steam as the minimum GPU they think should be used. 🙂

In case you're not sure, it's an nVidia GPU - they make the chip, a handful of other companies actually make the cards that host said chip, so you might see a PALIT or Asus 1050Ti, for example. Typically, in this sort of range of GPUs, any brand will be fine.
