How do I fix windows from another drive

I have a working computer, but I drive with numerous windows bugs, I would very much prefer to use that drive as opposed to the one I have now, but I cannot access it due to damage to the windows kernel I need a way to fix the issue without resetting the drive

Have you tried a repair install? The Windows installer should give you that option when it detects an existing instance of the OS.

If that doesn't work, then unless the file system is actually corrupt, you should be able to plug that drive into any other computer (linux, windows, mac) and read files off it, no problem. If you can't plug it in directly, you might need a dock or usb adapter, depending on the type of drive.

All that said, my recommendation would be to copy any data you want to keep off the 'bad' drive, then do a full format and clean install if you want to keep using that drive.

If you're properly desperate to get that exact copy of Windows back, you can always look into repairing it using something like Windows PE...but that's a much bigger can of worms than I'm willing to open 😬
