Can I put the old drives to another computer and just copy and paste the files? Will it work that easily.I got a windows 11 PC which did not get fried.

That works too.

You just need to put the files somewhere that can’t get accidentally erased when you reinstall Windows.

So my motherboard got fried due to lighting,I am thinking of replacing it.Will there be any data loss if I replace my motherboard?

Some people say the data will be lost? Any help would be appreciated

If your SSD or HardDrive did not suffer any damage then no data should be lost.
You might have to reinstall windows if switching motherboard and this can result in data loss.

Is there anyway to stop the data loss if I switch motherboards and have windows reinstalled?

You can back up all the files you care about by copying them to a different physical drive.

Another option would be to get a new boot drive for your new hardware, and install Windows on that. Then you can copy your files off your old boot drive.
