Im looking for advice so i can help guide my son into upgrading his computer. All he does is game (fortnite, rocket league, roblox and sometimes cod and gta ) and watch videos. These are the current specs.

Cpu ryzen 5 3600x
Gpu gtx 1660 super
Ram 16gb ddr4
Mb aorus b450 m
Ps rm750x Corsair
SSD 500gb
Hard drive 2tb
Air cooled

Monitor is 1080p 60 hz

Any upgrade would be best if kept under $300-400 CAD I was looking at upgrading the monitor first to 170 hz 1440p msi G273CQ 27" as its only 209 right now to get the most from the gpu

CPU first followed by the gpu and whatever you do don't upgrade to 1440 unless you're willing to spend a significant amount on a new gpu.

The monitor and a better GPU. Adding more RAM also wouldn't be a bad idea as well as a stronger CPU like the 5700X or 5800X3D.

But first, the monitor and GPU.
