IMG_7860.thumb.jpeg.5d869e74aceb5f4d8258ca9efc1c52db.jpegMy Steam Deck does not boot into SteamOS anymore. I’ve had it for close to 3 months now. I updated from 3.4 to 3.5.5 (The Stable Release). It seemed fine until I turned it on a few hours later when the device refused to boot past the Steam Deck logo. So I booted into to the bios and saw that there was no boot option for SteamOS. I went to “Boot from File” to try to boot if from there, which didn’t work either. I ran a system check after but everything came back positive. My last option is to reset to factory settings but I have a lot of data that I don’t want wiped.

How would I do that?

I'd recommend downloading the Ubuntu ISO from the official site, and using a tool like RUFUS to burn it to a suitable memory stick.

You can then plug it in and try to boot from it - that's the first set of steps 🙂
