Should i install all updates? Is there any reason to install them?

Technically yes, but Windows Vista hasn't received security updates in a long time and is vulnerable connected to the Internet depending on what site you click on.

I am able to install latest updates with server 2008 patch. But i m curious about old updates. Should i install them or not. Also some updates cause system to fail

Make sure Vista Service Pack 2 is installed first. If it's not already installed, that should cover a good number of updates.

 

Why exactly are you installing Vista in 2023?

Service pack 2 installed with windows installantion

It was fine after the service packs made UAC less jittery, and after PC hardware caught up to all of its new eye candy, but now it's an unpatched security nightmare.

 

Just don't use it for web browsing, use it in a retrocomputing context.

Yes i use extended kernel. But an update corrupted extended kernel and system became unusable. I will install windows 8.1
