New PC Build! Thoughts?

7600 + 7900xt + 32gb 6400c32

Cut a ton of cost on the pricey mobo, case, and straight up overpriced rams, whilst upgrading alot of stuff in the process

No reason to go with an aio since the phantom spirit costs alot less and performs very well

Only diff between the b650-a and the ds3h is the extra type c on the rear i/o, same front i/o on both boards (4 usb2, 2 usb3, 1 usbc), who even uses the extra pcie expansion slots?

upgraded rams whilst also making em cheaper, if they wont run at 6400 then run them at 6200 instead or whatevers the highest fclk your cpu is capable of (generally around 6200-6400 for most ryzens)

More ssd storage which is equivalent to if not faster than the outdated and overpriced 980 pro

7900xt over the 6800xt, tbh a used 3090 would be a better value/performance here and can be had for around 600$

a much cheaper case with a white exterior and a black interior so itll still look good even if you look at its insides as the colours match and there arent any conflicting colour schemes

if you arent gonna commit to full white then dont bother or do a proper mix black/white

black gpu, cooler, fans, psu with black cables surrounded by the white mobo, rams, and case will look like complete shit because the colours are conflicting, essentially itll look like a badly done mashing of colours

Budget (including currency): 1400ish USD

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Destiny 2, Fortnite, other Tripple A titles

Hello all, I am currently working through the planning of a build for a new PC. I will be straight forward in saying I want something that looks as awesome as much as it games so some of the decitions with RGB and certain parts had that in mind (although not the first priorty). I hope to have a rig that I can upgrade and add certain aspects as time goes on (Using the stock cooler, cheap set of fans, and a single tb m.2 ssd).

Thought process on...

Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B650-A ATX AM5 -> Made the mistake in the past by not future proofing my rig. I think the board not only looks amazing but will add upgradability for the future.

CPU: Ryzen 5 7600 3.8 GHz 6 Cores  -> From what I have seen seems like an amazing bang for the buck cpu. (seems like the increase in performance isn't worth the extra price and heat of the 6700x as well as having a stock cooler)

GPU: GIgabyte AORUS Master Radeaon 6800 xt 16gb -> saw a good deal that would be about the price of a rx 6800.

RAM: Corsair Vengance 16x2 32 gb kit DDR5 6000 CL36 --> Had Corsair vengance 16 gb 3200 in the past. Thought the performace was great and looked great.

SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0x4 NVME -> kinda the same story as the ram. My thought is just get a 1 tb for the OS and add higher capacity but cheaper storage in the future.

PSU: Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold Cert. Fully modular ATX -> Seen good reviews?.. assuming this would be a good pick

Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo ATX -> I feel like I dont need to explain myself as much here 😄

Some concerens I would have are concerning the matching up of the CPU and GPU, my plan for a fast smaller size storage at the start, and if the PSU will be a good fit. Any and all input is much appretiated! (BUT MOSTLY JUST CARE ABOUT PERFORMANCE SUGGESTIONS..) THANK YOU!

You somehow managed to get the numbers wrong on the CPU, how did you manage to do that when you copy pasted it o.o should be 7600 not 6700 lol

You want DDR5 6000 CL30 prefered.

Rest of the system is fine. Can eventually upgrade latter to a better CPU once its run its course in 3 years.

150 dollar case and using a stock cooler is a little questionable imo

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Yes I agree lol. But not for long I plan on getting an AIO as well as much better fans. Like i said its a pc that will be getting upgades as time goes on. As much as I wish I could throw all the money at once..

I would also suggest p12 fans instead of those up here's 20 bucks more for much higher quality fans

do you really need 32GB of RAM, cuz most games can run amazing on high/ultra settings using 16GB of RAM.

got you some better looking fans from an actual well known company.

got you a 512GB SSD that will help a little bit for now.

but the sad part is that I am $1 more than your budget (😭😭😭😭looolll)

Haha yeah I was looking at that.. I was wondering if I should just get a 8x2 gb kit and then get another kit eventually. As far as the fans I honestly just threw some cheap looking ones and didnt pay to much attention to them lol. I like what you added and change I will go with that! Thank you 🙂

BTW you can get a higher capacity HDD but it will be slower.(If you don't mind, can you mark the solution for you as a solution. It will be really helpful for the members of the forum and the person too.)
