what motherboard is this in? did you attempt to re-seat it? which slot is it in, and what(if any) other ram sticks do you have also installed? did you try clearing the cmos? is this bought used, and do you have any way of knowing for sure the stick is good? it is ddr4, and so is the board, and the cpu can handle that speed, so it should work, but there are more variables than that.

 

nvm, @RONOTHAN## is right, didn't see that detail when looking at the modules specs online.

You have to look for DDR4, 288 pin, 1,2v, non ECC, non registered, unbufferd RAM. Some memory brands have a compatibility check on their website like Crucial https://www.crucial.com/products/memory/desktop-dram#
