Hi,

I have the following set up

Processor: intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7500 CPU @ 3.40GHz 4/4 0.0v

Motherboard:ASRock H270 Pro4

RAM:16 GB

Hard disk:WDS100T3X0C-00SJG0 (931.5 GB/Fixed hard disk media)

Graphics card:NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (6 GB)

When I'm playing games like COD (among others) my game play is very spotty and fps hovers around 30-40 with ally setting optimized for performance vs visual quality.

I took at look at performance in my task manager while playing warzone and my CPU is running 80-100% and GPU% 5-20%.

Not a big tech guy here but does anyone know why I'm getting poor performance when my CPU and GPU % seem good?

Appreciate any feedback

Oh okay. So an upgrade to the cpu is needed? Recommendations? What would ideal % look like?

There's no ideal% usage for CPU... It varies from game to game.

You mainly want to use your GPU at 90%+ though

Any newer CPU would do. 13th gen or 14th gen Intel or 5000 or 7000 series Ryzen... Depending on your budget
