Does the mesh side panel on the fractal north help with temps enough to justify getting it over the glass side panel?

Only if it has any extra ventilation on the side panel and even then I'm not sure it would be worth that much if your PC isn't particularly hot, or hotter than everyone else to make a difference. So in my opinion, it's not worth it if you feel like you're sacrificing the looks.

I think that the glass side panel version looks really good and I would like to consider it for my next case. However, I don't know if the mesh version gives good enough temps compared to the glass version to warrent getting it instead.

Temps run pretty average, but I run it in an open case setup (I think that's what you call it)

As long as the front of the case flows air fine, you're typically good to go. I worry about the front and top more than I do the side panels.

My 13900k / 4090 runs fine air cooled with a glass side panel, an Enthoo Pro M TG.

LTT did a video several months ago about mesh cases. I don't recall which one, but it is good. You should try to find it.

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂
