New Work Monitor/Monitors...

I have a 3 foot deep and 6 foot wide desk at work and I currently have a 32" 4k monitor along with a 27" 2k monitor. My job involves using multiple programs together and monitoring printers of all sorts. I currently have my smaller 27" monitor dedicated to RIPs for inkjet and digital presses and my 32" monitor is used for spreadsheets, Adobe software and everything else. I do color critical work so I need to see all of the RGB spectrum and need a monitor that I can calibrate for matching Pantone colors and reproducing photographs. I am also in my late 40s, so my vision isn't perfect, so on my 32" 4k I have the magnification set to 125% to make things larger. I am trying to decide if I should add a 3rd monitor, or buy an 8k TV that is maybe 55". Any suggestions or thoughts??

I don't think I understand the argument for an 8K TV. Large screens are really bad for productivity work in general, There are certain art specific monitors with the purpose of having color accuracy good enough for arts and specifically prints or photos and so on. What you'd ideally want is a 27" or at most no larger than a 32" because anything larger than that becomes a problem ergonomically for work. Of course that's my personal opinion and what I've come to see to be true, large screens are hard to focuse on and hard to navigate.

Adding a 3rd monitor would be the best solution for work, a BenQ PhotoVue or a Dell UltraSharp should do the job.

The argument for an 8K TV was the size. The 32" 4k isn't large enough. Ideally I would like about 38" 4K, but wanted more data on the screen. I figured going with a 65" 8k, I would get a screen that had lots of space and the resolution for good quality.

i am thinking that there are not really any 8k Tvs or monitors that would be useful to you as the ones that you probably need are 65" or bigger and they dont really make them smaller than 65" right now. most are QLED or QNED (same things just different company name) and these are for brighter rooms like your living room or office so they can only get so bright. the OLED 8k monitors are what you would need in my opinion and they will cost over $5k or at least in my area they do.

Ok. I am thinking at this point I will just add another 32" monitor. They are relatively cheap and having 3 monitors seems to beat give me the width and resolution I am looking for. I am starting to understand why so many people have 3 or more monitors.

You may added 42" 4K display, I found 42" is the best size for 4K for running at 100% scale.
