Budget (including currency): 2000€

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming and Programming, occasional video editing (nothing demanding)

Hello dear Linus stans,

I will be building my very first PC next month, how exiting! I have made a List of Parts I want to include but I have no idea if they will communicate well together.

GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 (650€)

CPU: 12th Gen Intel i7 (350€)

CPU cooling: NZXT Kraken ZX3 (250€)

RAM: 32GB (please recommend)

SSD: 1-2TB (please recommend)

PSU: (please recommend)

motherboard: (please recommend)

Case: NZXT H5 Flow RGB (150€)

1400€ covered. 600€ remaining in my budget. (If it goes 200€ over it’s not the end of the world)

am I missing any other parts? Are the parts I chose bad?

I chose a lot of these parts because of their aesthetics, I admit it, but I also want something that works really well. I want to be able to play triple a games on their highest settings for the next couple years.
I chose the 4070 over the 4070 TI because of its price. Im not willing to pay 300€ more for the occasional 20 extra frames. But I rlly like how the Nvidia GPUs Look.

i just want to stop looking at the minimum specs requirements for games and just enjoy a little bit of power the next couple years.

I am looking for a motherboard with built in WiFi and Bluetooth (I don’t rlly like RGB) a few lights built in the casefans are more than enough.

Please share your ideas and opinions.

PS: I want the PC to be black. That includes the motherboard and so on.

More of a clean look than a gamer look. Something professional basically.

Kind regards,

Denis

Wow Thank you for your recommendations.

Is there a reason one would choose an rtx 4070 from another brand than NVIDIA. Is it just the price that’s different or is the performance different aswell?

Mostly price, but also 3rd party cooling tends to be better.

All of them (be it MSI this or Asus that or Nvidia founders) will perform similarly.
When picking a brand and model you are essentially picking:
- Thermal solution (temps, but noise as well)
- Quality of power delivery, and generally speaking components
- Quality control
Anyhow:
