Mediatek dimensity chips are pretty decent afaik unlike those garbage helio socs

As for budget snapdragon phones, 600 snapdragons are garbage and i am currently typing on a snap 665 based phone (y51), 700 series probs kinda meh, youll wanna look for the 800 series snapdragons

at this budget youll be looking at used phones, no idea what your used phone market is like but here in indo 200$ is enough for a mi 10t (pro) with a snap 865

What do you want in a phone?

Mediatek has seriously stepped it up since their dimensity lineup so they arent bad at all

Id say the jump to 700 is actually still quite noticable especially with the 7 gen x series. However the difference between a 7 and 8 is like whatever for 99% of people except if you game on your phone.

I was assuming that this is gonna be gamed on

Id still take the 800 snapdragons anyways since the phones themselves are usually better (screen, camera, etc.)

It does depend as now 7 gen and the 778g cpu's have been put in same phone but lower cpu compared to their 800/8 gen counterparts

nah, gaming is super low priority, what im looking for is a good camera, customisation, (aka removal of all apps i hate, so most of them) fast(ish) cpu, 6gb minimum RAM (everything lower makes a phone sluggish due to Android bloat in my experience)

so snapdragon 800? question is price!?

i guess a 2 year old model could be still good value?

i mean thats what im asking there are tons of 200 euros mediatek phones, what are the snapdragon equivalents?

Basically you are just like me and hate being stuck to dogshit stock firmware

In that case snapdragon is your only option cause afaik mediatek dimensity are hard to root or something like that

You wont see any decent ones for 200€ unless you look at the used market

Xiaomi and oneplus look like interesting options since they have a large community around them for custom firmware

Any sites or stuff where you can buy used phones?

I reckon the mi 10/11(t) (pro) or oneplus 8-10(t)

Basically any phone from the last generation or 2 generations behind current gen as those have depreciated a ton so you can find em for cheap

... this looks.... great.... the x5 has sd card slot, the pro doesn't... (lol)

and price difference is like 20 bucks ... (mega lol)

AND BOTH HAVE 3.5 headphone jack!!!

i think I'd go with the none pro, cause no sd card is a deal breaker sadly.

And i can jailbreak this, right?

ps: oh and the none pro has 8 instead of 6 gb (seems im missing something here?)

Btw the pro does have 8gb for the 256gb

The 778g is a decent bit better but a 695 is great

ah, ok, but still no sd slot i guess. i mean i want a good camera because i make a lot of photos, and i already have a sd card, which i hopefully can just keep using...

and i see, yeah, as long its still good, i don't need a top of the line cpu, im not playing any games on my phone anyway (typically)

thanks!
