Budget (including currency): $500

Country: USA

I had a computer prior that stopped working and the guy I went to said it was worse than what I thought.

my computer randomly kept turning off but not overheating and one day it turned off and stopped working entirely, I figured it was an issue with my PSU so I took it to a guy to replace it and he told me it was worse than just the PSU, it was the motherboard and other things so now I'm gonna try to rebuild the computer or something

I have leftover a RTX 3060ti, 32gb ddr4 ram, ssd and some other things

any advice? I'm not sure what to do at all and money is tight, I had a lot of important files on my SSD ones I need for work, school and numerous other things

P.S I've no clue about the inner workings of computers.

im rebuilding the computer because I believe that's the cheapest option, what do I need to do?

First get a motherboard that supports the ram you have, either an intel or amd depending if you still have your cpu. Then take it to the nearest computer shop you trust to put the computer together for you, it would cost a bit more. So far the only thing I think you said you need is a cpu and motherboard, keeping the old case?

Depending on what type of work you do, either an i5 or i7 will do, 6 cores minimum. Don't overspend on a motherboard or psu, no more than $100 maybe slightly more. either order the parts compatible with the motherboard etc, or if you don't want to wait,a computer shop where you can buy the parts and wait a day or two for them to put it together.

old case is being kept and gonna be rebuilt inside of it, is it possible to reuse the cpu? if the motherboard has been fried

I don't need a new SSD but is it possible to reuse the same CPU cooler? I've no reason to believe the cpu cooler has been damaged

You might have to ask a technician to test it if it still works, or ask them to test it on your new motherboard if it is dead or not. You can never know until it is tested. But its most likely fried.

if its the same cooler and your cpu is still working, otherwise, I recommend checking the specs of the cooler on the manufacture website, to see what other socket types it supports, if your new motherboard will be a different socket, but if you get an exact or same socket replacement, it will work.

What's the cooler? As long as its a compatible cooler with the socket  and performs well enough to cool the cpu then yes.
