Please help me

So i just finished my build i turned it to an i dont have an antenna to use but my motherboard has (its a b450a-m pro max) how do i turn on the wifi? Wirelessly

You can't, this motherboard does not have onboard wifi. Only thing you can do is either plug in an ethernet cable or get a wifi adapter/card.

This bored dosn't have Wi-Fi. I recommend you buy yourself a PCIe Wi-Fi card. They can be had for about £20-30.

As peoples above stated, the board doesn't come with Wifi capability.

Either use a PCIE Wifi Card, or Wifi USB Dongle.

 

IMHO, unless you need some sort of niche feature / setup that only comes with PCIE wifi card. Wifi USB dongle is cheap, simple and good enough.

You do NOT have a wireless card on the board

You need to buy a PCIe or USB WiFi card

No, not that, nobody should be buying WiFi 5 adapters now.

 

But if they have GPU they literally can't fit a PCIe card in that motherboard anyway.

That motherboard was a bad choice if you need WiFi as you have no space to put a WiFi card if you are using a GPU.  You're going to have to put up with some crappy USB adapter, or use a wire to your router.

I was under the impression WiFi 5 was cheaper and fast enough not to be a bottleneck for the average household internet connection (or atleast it is in the UK). Has this changed?

That is the ethernet controller, the board dosn't have WiFi.

As it dosn't have the slots to add a wifi card, I suggest returning the motherboard.

Hadn't noticed that, this is going to be a problem.

Its not just about speed, if your router has WiFi 6 then its likely to also improve latency.

 

Also WiFi 6 cards are dirt cheap, you don't need to go for branded products just something based on Intel AX200 or AX210 with a really basic PCIe to M.2 adapter.  You're really just paying for the look on branded models, most don't even need those heatsinks as they're just identical to the laptop cards underneath.
