Hey everyone,

We recently had ClouDNS reach out asking about possibly partnering with us.

Admittedly their service is out of my personal realm of knowledge.

They offer DNS hosting, domain names, monitoring, things of that nature.

As well as having some internal conversations, I just wanted to check and see if any of our forum users had any experience with them.

*Please note that our team does our own research and testing around vetting sponsor products and services. However, we've found that soliciting feedback from the community can sometimes add something new to the conversation that we weren't aware of*

I've never used them myself, but looking at their site I'm not too convinced.

What on earth does 1,000% & 10,000% Uptime SLA mean?!

They're just stating that for every minute of downtime that occurs, they extend 100 minutes to their users as compensation.

With that additional context it makes a bit more sense, but this could be made clear. SLA's in the traditional sense only reflect an uptime commitment, not a compensation method where the SLA fails to be upheld.

I'm also a little suspicious that a company founded in 2010 only has a single review on Google, Trustpilot has some more information but is mostly outdated, but most surprisingly, they don't offer a phone number for support? I wouldn't feel comfortable hosting a small business or anything in production where I'm not able to get a human on the line and quickly, especially with DNS which can be tricky to manoveur at the best of times.
