Help, pc stuck on updates

I was trying to do my dism restore health check where it was stuck on 62.5% i let it sit loke that for 10 mins it didnt budge, i had to go so i had closed CMD and went to shut my pc down, it is cirrently stuck on updates are underway, Please keep your computer on. it has been stuck in this for 45 mins what to do?

Hold down the power button for ~20 seconds to shut it off.

It is not a big of a deal if you turn it off.

it might damage the pc tho, ive seen videos that say wait for max 2 hrs

I have done it to many systems. Is the hard drive LED indicator still flashing?

Ok, the pc shutdown after like 1 hr 30mins, and i powered it on now

Alright! On my pc rn had to wait 1 hr 30 mins but yeah it shutdown on its own eventually and it turned on just fine.

i like that the dude asked a question , didn't like the answer , ignored the fact that a computer taking over an hour to install an update means it's literally in a terrible state , then concluded he was somehow right.

This has never happened before to me and I panicked.
