does it have to be only CCL?

do NOT get the gt 710. Even a gt 1030 won't be that much better

Don't think about that now, the market will change and so will your budget for a new dgpu

What are your thoughts on the other components I've chosen, such as the Ryzen 5 5600G, motherboard, and power supply?

The psu is OK but it could be improved. the mobo is good, but not in a budget build. The cpu is good too but what I'd do is get a used 3600 and then get a used dgpu like the rx 580

I am planning to spend about £400 GBP

is this your budget for the rest of the components to be bought or all the components prices combined (including the ones bought already)

NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 2GB (Graphics Card) (already purchased)

return this

  • Crucial BX500 480GB SSD (already purchased)
  • 2TB HDD (already purchased)

and these two

Are there any specific adjustments I can make to mitigate this bottleneck without investing in a high-end GPU right away?

I think it looks good to me, though I could make a few changes to the build

You'll get a much better experience

Hello LTT Forum Members,

I hope you're all doing well. I'm in the process of planning a PC build with components I've selected from CCL(https://www.cclonline.com) , and I'd like to share my choices and seek your expert opinions. My primary concern is the potential bottleneck with my GPU, and I'd appreciate your insights on this matter.

Components:

  • MSI B550-A PRO AMD Socket AM4 Motherboard
  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600G Zen 3 CPU
  • CiT Crossfire Mesh Mid Tower Gaming Case - Black
  • Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2x 8GB) 3600MHz DDR4 RAM
  • GameMax GM500 500W Semi-Modular 80+ Bronze PSU
  • Crucial BX500 480GB SSD (already purchased)
  • 2TB HDD (already purchased)
  • NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 2GB (Graphics Card) (already purchased)
  • Windows 10 Pro (already purchased)

My Budget

I am planning to spend about £400 GBP

My Concern:

I'm well aware that my choice of GPU, the NVIDIA GeForce GT 710. Its all I can afford at the moment. While it serves my immediate needs, I'm concerned about potential bottlenecks. I'd like to discuss whether this GPU might limit the performance of the rest of the system, especially given that I have an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G CPU, which has integrated graphics and can perform decently for light tasks.

Questions and Discussion Points:

  1. Given my components, how significant is the bottleneck likely to be with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 710, especially in gaming scenarios?
  2. Are there any specific adjustments I can make to mitigate this bottleneck without investing in a high-end GPU right away?
  3. If I were to upgrade my GPU in the future, what options would you recommend to balance out the system's performance?
  4. What are your thoughts on the other components I've chosen, such as the Ryzen 5 5600G, motherboard, and power supply?

I'm excited to hear your opinions and recommendations. Your expertise is highly valued, and I'm open to any suggestions you might have, whether it's regarding the GPU, potential bottlenecks, or other aspects of my build.

Thank you for taking the time to help me with this decision, and your insights will be instrumental in shaping my final build. Feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions!
