I have windows 10 64bit, i have a b450f, 5600x, 3060, and a 750w psu. Its been an issue if my desk gets hit it causes my pc to freeze. No idea what causes that. And today my headset fell on my desk, and it caused the pc to freeze. I have the corsair virtuosso. And usually i just restart the pc and it fixes. I have been at it for an hour no fix. Its just a black screen. I have 4 8gb sticks DDR4 corsair vengence. I’ve tried taking them out, re slotting them. I took my brothers 2 8gb sticks of the same type just white. And put them in my pc and put my ram in his. Both booted just fine. Then putting my ram back in mine still doesn’t post. I cleared CMOS. No luck. I have tried unplugging all my peripherals. It did turn on, but i bumped the pc. Now it wont boot again no matter what I do. My light on the motherboard is orange, indicating RAM issue. I tried using one ram stick still no luck. I don’t use a HDD, my boot drive is a 970 evo, and i have a wd black nvme, then just an ssd.

TL;DR No post, pc shakes stops working, tried new ram worked fine with that ram, my ram worked in another pc worked fine. Doesn’t work in mine, tried multiple trouble shooting steps.

what do you mean by that? if bumping your PC caused an issue, why not look inside if anything is loose other than just RAM?

Cause my brothers ram works fine. And I’ve reseated my gpu. And his ram works with my pc. So it most definitely has to be my ram? My ram works in his pc. And it booted once it just crashes again.

so the ram doesn't work even after cmos clear? sounds like a ram problem, but don't take my word for it

have you tried booting with only two sticks of your own RAM? What speed are you trying to run it at and what speed is it rated for?

RAM problems can often be solved with BIOS updates too so you should check if your motherboard has a BIOS update available.

Tried 2 sticks, running at 3200, recommended 3200. Would I need one? My brother has the same ram vengence 3200, his just has a little faster timing. I will try updating tomorrow (today) though if I can get a USB or something

Theoretically, either should work, it would just be troubleshooting steps to try different configurations. I forgot about the part where bumping the pc causes freeze ups, that sounds way more like a physical issue than a software issue. Are you making sure to push the ram all the way in until the holders click? I would also consider re-seating the cpu, one of the pins could be making poor contact or could be bent. If re-seating the ram and CPU don't help I would look over the motherboard for anything else that may have come loose - soldered parts etc
