Do not use any cable that did not come with your PSU. They are not compatible.

So I have a 6 pin PSU to molex cables that I want to use but my PSU only has an 8 pin connector in it, is it safe for me to plug it in? The connector does seem fit though missing the last two pins

What's the brand and model of the PSU and what CPU and GPU do you want to power with it?

8 pin on the PSU side is usually for CPU and GPU. Don't put a sata/molex cable in there!

The cable might physically fit but it could be wired completely differently. Not worth the risk.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?
