Hi all,

It has been a few years since I first built my PC. I am looking to start upgrading and hoping to get some suggestions on what order I should go in or what actually needs to be upgraded. Sadly, the person I build this rig with is no longer a part of my life, and I have not been following the latest releases as closely as i used to. Therefore, any help or advice about what to upgrade and in what order would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

With a budget of 1500, I would sell your current system as is and use the total to build a new system.

With the specs you have, odds are you're going to want to just build a whole new system. If you do want to just upgrade, the CPU would be the first stop, but for Starfield especially the 1080 Ti is really showing its age, and you do have the budget for most of a system upgrade.

This is probably what I'd build, reusing your case and storage.

I would just sell the old pc and bump the budget up a bit personally. If you don't want to do this, this is a great alternative option. You could even ebay the rest of your parts?

This PC config would sell. I would sell the PC as a whole on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist for 450-500CAD, and everyone would flock on your listing very quick. Just make sure to clean it up and put new thermal paste on the CPU.

That would net us 2000CAD. Actually usable budget in Canada for a PC.
