I'm currently running Ubuntu on a old computer I hate with a ATI 9000 pro GPU and it has NO ACCELERATION AT ALL not even 2D and I really need a driver but I'm  noob when it comes to Linux and I can't figure out how to install a driver. I really need help from someoen who knows what they are talking about so i can use this PC.

I don't know what this page is about but it says the ATI 9000 pro is supported.

I know in Ubuntu 14.04 it is reeeaally easy to install drivers. Maybe you want to check that out?

I just went to settings -> Software & updates -> Additional drivers

Best of luck.
