Meshtastic - LORA Offgrid Communications. 915mhz - North America

Just getting into this to solve some tracking solutions I was looking for as Gotenna Consumer is now but all dead.

Its on LORA, 915mhz in north America. Same band as Heliumis. 
LORA - Mainly used for Asset Tracking from Equipment, Livestock, to people and Data Communications. 
433mhz band if you have your HAm radio license or want to be a baddie. 

$50 or less for a tracker/Lora Unit, Lora units themselves can be only $25, put it in a case, and away you go. You can even track your dog if you wanted.


MANY boards are now supported with nodes/Routers Going up all over the world. 
LTT covered this tech 4 Years Ago. 

 

In 2022 was Rogers and Canadas Largest Grid Cellular infrastructure that was taken down.

Its good to be prepared and use alternate communications that are encrypted.
