Bios doesnt see ssd

Does it detect the SSD at all in any case or scenario? Are you positive that it is properly connected to the board? Does the SSD work in another PC/laptop?

not at all. i popped it into the pc im using right now, it pops up in the device manager but not in windows explorer and i cant figure out how to format it properly.

Are you using windows 7 or 8? Just go to start and type partition and start up partition manager. It should see the SSD in there, right click and format it to a NTFS partition, after that you will see it in my computer.

But I don't think that's the problem, if bios doesn't dettect it then it's a motherboard related problem, does anyone else have this problem with the motherboard? Try updating the Bios or even reseting it to default.

i figured it out, no worries. I went to the disk management under administrator tools and formatted it.
