Budget (including currency): about 12,000 ILS (~3300$).

Country: Israel

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Gaming - I'd like to run AAA games at 1440p with good quality and 60+ fps.

Also, a lot of work related programs that are memory hogs.

Other details:

I'm currently using a 7 year old pc that it's gpu died. that's my signal for upgrading the system.
Core i7-6850K
X99-A II
32GB RAM
ASUS 1070 GPU (dead).
2X Acer Predator 27" 1440p G-Sync displays.

I'll probably buy at a store called TMS, I've made a build that I think should work:
https://tms.co.il/builds/383674

I'm pretty sure that my CPU will be 7800X3D, the GPU 4070TI, 64GB 6000 RAM.
not sure about B650 VS X670 Motherboard.

I need about 4TB of SSD, about 2 for work related stuff and 2 for OS and games. that's why I've divided them into 2 drives. the work one will die sooner from all the IO activity.
No need for any peripherals.

if anyone wants to try the pc builder (in Hebrew 🙂 )-
https://tms.co.il/index.php?route=product/configurator

any suggestion, improvement will be very appreciated.

Alternative build to consider, but if your work programs don't use multicore then my CPU change isn't good.

Thank you,

Buying from newegg is problematic when dealing with warranty claim and any other issues.

my programs (mostly) uses 4 cores in isolation while running that do the simulation, so I benefit a higher single thread preference then molti thread with lower clock speeds.

Also, is the 4080 worth the difference for 1440p gaming?

Newegg Israel

If Newegg is the only vendor on a country of pcpp, ignore. Its Newegg International program and is not affiliated with Newegg whatsoever on both RMA and fulfillment. Price is a rip-off and support is nonexistent as OP states. In this case, fall back to OP's preferred shopping site.

proper D15 instead of 1 fan off and a FAR BETTER PERFORMING GPU. use the final few overbudget shekel for 2 Cooler Master Sickleflow 140 to put on the intake.

Thank you @SorryBella,

I never considered AMD for graphics but it seems it beats the 4070TI in almost all fronts.

I mainly went with Nvidia because of DLSS, I hoped that it will extend the life cycle for such a high priced card.

Not sure if AMD's FSR can compete, but I think that I'll go with it.

I do have some choice in the exact card:

PowerColor RX 7900 XTX 24GB - 4,816 ILS
Sapphire PULSE RX 7900 XTX GAMING OC 24GB - 4,910 ILS
Sapphire NITRO+ AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX VAPOR-X 24GB - 4,999
ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX OC Edition 24GB - 5,390 (-400 cashback) - 4990 ILS

it seems that the "PowerColor RX 7900 XTX 24GB" is like the reference card that I read have some more issues with overheating.

with less the 4% difference between the most expensive one the the "cheapest" one.. the price delta is non existing.

any suggestion about what card to choose?

Initial batch issue due to improper mounting pressures. The newer batches in 2023 should be very much fine, but any non-reference cooler is never affected, even if they use reference board. In this case, the Sapphire Pulse it is, which would be 100 shekel more.

Do your work apps not care if you have nvidia?

You might want to look into the news on FSR3.

In TPU's review of the 4070 Ti, the 4080 was about 20% faster (on average) @ 1440p. I find it hard to use the site you suggested, but based on PCP the cheapest 4070 Ti (Zotac Trinity) is 3850 and the cheapest 4080 is the same model, which is 5228. So, you're paying 35% more, for 20% more performance.

If the VRAM is not important for your other usage and you don't need to hit a high fps target (which you don't, because you said 60 fps is fine), then a 4070 Ti should be sufficient.
